BISE 7400 Advanced Diemaking – 38 Contact Hours

Advanced Diemaking: This course is combined with the basic die for no additional cost. This course provides instruction in die to press relationships, automatic feeds, inverted dies, compound dies, progressive dies using the blank through process. Topics also include progressive dies using the chopoff principle, progressive dies using the parting principle, and secondary operations such as: Dies to notch, Trim, Shave, Side-action Dies to pierce, Semi pierce, Shear form,. The content finishes with instruction in Drawing Operations, Redraw Dies, Combination Dies, and Computation Procedures. Provides a study of important advanced elements of die function and performance. Course will act as a resource for apprentices, tool designers, and others who need a working reference on design, construction, and use of stamping dies.
